Our director, Meritxell Gabarró, had the honor of being invited by the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Abat Oliba University, M. Jesús Pesqueira Zamora. This visit was an excellent opportunity to get a closer look at the facilities and the training methodology followed by this leading academic institution.

One of the aspects that most impressed Meritxell Gabarró was the modern courtroom used by students to conduct real procedural practice. In this space, future professionals have the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of lawyers, magistrates, and other procedural actors, all while wearing a gown. This immersive methodology facilitates learning and prepares students to face the challenges of the professional world with confidence.

The visit was not limited to the facilities. Meritxell Gabarró enjoyed an enriching legal conversation with prominent figures in the sector. Among them were Raquel Iglesias, Vice-Dean of the Notaries Association of Catalonia, lawyer Christa Brady, and Civil Law Professors Adolfo Lucas Esteve and Elena Palomares Balaguer. The meeting allowed for an exchange of knowledge and perspectives on the present and future of civil law, as well as on new learning methodologies in law faculties.

At Gabarró Advocats Herències, we would like to thank Dean M. Jesús Pesqueira Zamora and the entire team at the Faculty of Law at Abat Oliba University for their warm welcome and guided tour. We are pleased to see how the training of future jurists is developed in an innovative environment, close to professional reality and with a clear commitment to academic excellence.

This experience reinforces our commitment to continuous training and the exchange of ideas with the academic and professional community. We trust that these synergies will continue to grow and bring value to the daily practice of law and the defense of our clients’ interests.
